The benefits of using an Infrared Sauna don’t stop during summer. They still help you lose weight, burn calories, improve your heart and respiratory system, boost your immune health, repair damaged skin and relax your muscles. The mental health benefits of sauna use, including stress relief and a sense of wellbeing will also continue throughout the summer months.

Summer use can help you acclimatise to the outside heat much quicker. Summer’s heat waves can be uncomfortable, but using a sauna can make the summer heat more manageable.

If you're an athlete, weekend warrior, runner, cyclist or training at the gym, the sauna is the perfect way to detoxify and speed up your recovery process after training. It also makes those hot workouts a lot more bearable.

Here are a few tips for our Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna at True North Float during summer.

* The most important thing is to stay hydrated as you’re likely to sweat more than usual. Try to aim for a minimum of 1.5 litres of water prior to your session. We supply filtered water during your session and once you're done, you might want to top up with drink coconut water, or add citrus, a pinch of salt and honey to your water to rapidly replace the electrolytes lost through sweating.

* Limit your sessions to 45 minutes and spend 10- 15 minutes relaxing and cooling off in your private suana studio. Remember you can take breaks throughout your session and it should only last as long as it feels good.

*So no matter how hot it gets this summer, don’t let the outside heat dissuade you from utilising our Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna. The sauna in summer experience will leave you feeling relaxed and balanced, and will actually make the heat of the summer easier for your body to handle.
